In short: Crown&Paste collects no data. What you copy stays on your iPhone. There is no server, no account, no analytics, no ads and no tracking.

What the app stores, and where

Crown&Paste stores the items you save (text and links), their stacks, whether they are pinned or already pasted, and when they were created. Everything stays on your iPhone, in a protected container that only the app, its keyboard, its Share extension and its Control Center button can read.

The app makes no internet connections. Your items are not sent to anyone, including me.

Clipboard

iOS lets no app read the clipboard in the background. Crown&Paste reads it only when you open the app, while the Crown&Paste keyboard is on screen, when you share something to the app, or when you use "Save copied". Items that password managers mark as concealed are never saved.

Keyboard and Full Access

The keyboard needs Full Access for one reason: only with it may it read your saved items from the protected container and store new ones there. What you type with the keyboard is neither stored nor transmitted.

Deleting

You can delete any item and whole stacks in the app. Pasted items are cleaned up after 7 days, all unpinned items after 30 days. Deleting the app removes everything.

TestFlight

While Crown&Paste is distributed through Apple's TestFlight, Apple's terms apply as well. Apple may share crash reports and feedback you choose to send in TestFlight with me. Apple describes this data in the TestFlight app.

This website

When you visit these pages, the web server logs technically necessary data (IP address, time, page, browser). The logs keep the service secure and are deleted after 14 days. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. These pages set no cookies and load nothing from third parties.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, and the right to complain to a data protection authority. Just write to hallo@kingsley-ym.de.
